ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Lori Sorbo faces what no wife, child, or parent ever
wants to encounter. Surviving several forms of
cancer, beginning at the tender age of twenty seven
and extending for the next eleven years, the thirty-
nine-year-old mother of three knows too well the
harmful side effects, the exhaustive days, the loneli-
ness, and the desire to live more than the typical
healthy individual. Even though cancer takes the
lives of approximately 565,650 Americans annually,
and 10.8 million families have experienced this
terrific battle, meeting it face-to-face makes Lori feel
she is meeting someone who threatens her life. Lori
and family endure a test of faith, strength, and matu-
rity that seems never-ending, always looming like a
dark cloud on even the happiest days. With hopes of
reaching out to cancer survivors who feel like they
have lost all hope, Lori shares her story of endurance
in hopes that others will face this dreadful disease
head-on and never give up their will to live. Eleven
Years Later, Lori proves the conflict doesn’t affect
just her, but her children, husband, parents, and
friends. This is their triumphant story.
